The Nirovision Hub is the on-premise server that consumes the IP camera streams and processes them using complex Deep Learning algorithms.
The server requires network access to the:
- IP Cameras, to be able to take a copy of their RTSP streams and process it at the edge.
- Internet, for remote management of the server, to sync models for cross-site recognition, and to facilitate push notifications for alarms and the ability to remotely playback video events.
Nirovision typically requires no additional configuration unless your network has supplementary requirements for specifying Outgoing Firewall Ports or Domains. Check our firewall exceptions for specific port information.
As it is common practice to separate the IP camera LAN from the admin LAN we recommend having two NICs installed.
Nirovision is set to work on DHCP by default on any installed NIC. If the IP camera LAN, the admin LAN or both require the use of a Static IP, you'll need to manually adjust the connection after pairing the server.
Before you are able to pair a server, you need to create a Company, and a Location.
- Locations are a way to organise, view and manage cameras across one or more physical spaces.
- When you create a location, we ask you to specify a timezone. This information help us display your activity with appropriate timestamps.
- Your cameras will be grouped by the locations you create in the Cameras tab. You can quickly know what's happening in each location as we update each camera's snapshot at one frame per second.
- Your cameras will also be grouped by location in the Filters section of the Activity tab. Filter by a single camera or groups of cameras to focus your recognition activity, both past and live, to a specific area of interest. ****
- Alarms are also location-specific: you can't add cameras from two separate locations to the same alarm.

⚠️ Your server needs to be connected to the internet to be paired successfully, as it needs to register itself to our backend.
